Features of GR1.GR2 Seamless Titanium Pipe:

Pure seamless titanium pipes are divided into Grade 1 and Grade 2 based on impurity content. The impurity elements in these two industrial pure titanium grades gradually increase, leading to an increase in mechanical strength and hardness, but a corresponding decrease in plasticity and toughness. Grade 2 seamless titanium pipe is commonly used in industrial applications due to its moderate corrosion resistance, resistance to stress corrosion, and comprehensive mechanical performance. Grade 1 can be used when better formability is required.

The elongation of high-purity titanium pipe can reach 50-60%, and the cross-sectional area can reach 70-80%. Although GR1.GR2 pure seamless titanium pipe has lower strength, the presence of a small amount of impurities in industrial pure titanium enhances its mechanical performance, making it comparable to high-strength materials. This means that industrial pure titanium pipes, with a small amount of gap impurities and other metal impurities, can exhibit both high strength and adequate plasticity.

Titanium with a purity greater than 99.6% is referred to as Grade 1 titanium, while titanium with purity less than 99.6% is called Grade 2 titanium.
